The LW400 3-phase decanter centrifuge is specifically designed for Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) treatment, a critical environmental challenge in the palm oil industry. This machine efficiently recovers residual palm oil from POME while simultaneously separating solids and clarified water, providing both economic and environmental benefits.

Three-Phase Separation Process

The bowl and screw rotate at high speed with controlled differential speed. POME is fed continuously into the rotating bowl through the feed tube. Under centrifugal force, the three phases separate by density: heavy solids (sludge) deposit on the bowl wall and are pushed by the screw conveyor to the solids discharge; water forms the middle layer; residual palm oil, being the lightest, forms the innermost ring. The oil and water are discharged through separate outlets using adjustable weir plates, enabling continuous three-phase separation.
